My name is Leslie Quagraine and I am the creator of Old Aeroplanes magazine. For forty years I have been illustrating for book, newspaper and magazine publishers, advertising agencies and record companies – you name an object an idea or a concept, and I have probably turned it into a drawing or a painting. Born, raised and educated in London, I have lived in Finland for many years and this is where I publish Old Aeroplanes magazine. A magazine on paper that you can actually hold in your hand. Hmm! Feel that silky cover and smell that ink and paper. Paper good enough to lick!
Old Aeroplanes magazine is published and printed to the highest professional standards on good quality glossy paper. A4 in size, 100 pages and full colour throughout, except for the old black & white photographs, of course. Also, there are no pages lost to advertising, and I plan on keeping it that way.
Fantasy aviation prints, painted using an airbrush. Offset printing, 64 cm wide x 46 cm high – 25.25 in x 18 in. The image area is 57.5 cm x 39 cm – 22.5 in x 15.5 in.
Postcards, regular postcard size, 14.8 cm x 10.5 cm.
